Edward Sandberg

Edward Sandberg has been counselling since the age of 18, starting as
a volunteer/peer counsellor in 1981, and working as a professional since 1990.

In addition to his private practice which he started in Edmonton in 1997, Edward has
worked in the areas of HIV/AIDS education and counselling, mental health, addictions,
chronic pain, and sexuality.

In the early 2000’s Edward appeared regularly on Canadian Learning Television’s “Help
TV” program as a sexuality & relationship expert, answering questions from telephone
callers, on screen and being featured as the main guest on a number of shows.

Edward has been teaching Sexual Attitude Reassessment (SAR) Workshops since

Edward moved to Vancouver in 2007 and continued his Private Practice as an
independent Associate of Dragonstone Counselling. In June of 2019 he moved to a beautiful new office on Burrard Street at Broadway in central Vancouver.

Since the beginning of his counselling career Edward has been working extensively
in the area of sexuality. He enjoys helping people with all types of life issues but is
especially interested in, and fascinated by, the complexities of relationships, sex and
sexuality.

Edward is registered with the BC College of Social Workers (BCCSW) as a Clinical
Social Worker (RCSW). The College’s clinical class of registration (RCSW) recognizes
advanced knowledge and skills in clinical practice and informs the public and employers
that clinical registrants have met specific additional standards. If you would like to

Edward holds three academic degrees:
BA in psychology with a minor in sociology (University of Alberta 1989);
BSW (University of Calgary – Edmonton Division 1995);
MSW (University of Hawaii 1996).
