“Life transitions” is a catch-all phrase for some of the issues that may bring someone to counseling. These may include serious illness, death of someone close, change in relationship status, change in work situation or other significant changes in one’s life.
Change and transitions are the threads that weave the story of our lives and as such are extremely important. Nonetheless, at times they seem overwhelming or unapproachable. In some instances it is the inability to make a change that brings people to counseling. Help from an objective outsider and professional can then be very helpful in moving forward.
